Our COVENANT GOD (Ref. 34) - The ABRAHAMIC COVENANT (part 3) - 21 December 2017 - From the desk of Celia Joy Martins

 

When the childless Abram asked YAHWEH in Gen. 15:2-4 "What can You give me, since I am going on [from this world] childless and he who shall be the owner and heir of my house is this [steward] Eliezer of Damascus. And Abram continued, ... You have given me no child; and [a servant] born in my house is my heir ... the Word of YHWH came to him, saying, THIS MAN SHALL NOT BE YOUR HEIR, but HE WHO SHALL COME FROM YOUR OWN BODY SHALL BE YOUR HEIR."

 

Gen. 15:12 "When the sun was SETTING a DEEP SLEEP OVERCAME ABRAM, and a HORROR (a TERROR, a SHUDDERING FEAR) of GREAT DARKNESS ASSAILED AND OPPRESSED him,

 

:13 And YAH said to Abram, KNOW positively that your descendants will be strangers dwelling as temporary residents in a land that is not theirs [Egypt] and they will be slaves there and will be afflicted and oppressed for 400 years. [Fulfilled in Ex. 12:40]

 

:14 And in the FOURTH GENERATION they [your descendants] shall come back here [to Canaan] again, for the INIQUITY (IMMORALITY, EVIL, INJUSTICE, WICKEDNESS, SIN, CORRUPTION) of the AMORITES IS NOT YET FULL AND COMPLETE."  (Josh. 24:15 - "And IF it SEEMS EVIL to you to SERVE YHWH, CHOOSE FOR YOURSELVES THIS DAY WHOM you will SERVE, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the AMORITES (CANAANITES), IN WHOSE LAND you DWELL; BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE ELOHIM YAHWEH].)

 

THE AMOR-ITES:

The AMOR-ITES were "HIGHLANDERS" HILLMEN, of CANANISH-NEPHILIM descent (Gen. 14:7) called AMURRA or AMURRI in Assyrian and Egyptian inscriptions (referring to the 'gods of the west').

 

On ancient Babylon (Babel) MONUMENTS  all SYRIA and ISRAEL were KNOWN as the "LAND OF THE AMORITES". The mountains of JUDEA are called the "MOUNT of the AMORITES" (Deut. 1:7, 19, 20). They occupied the land stretching from the heights WEST of the DEAD SEA (Gen. 14:7) to HEBRON (Deut. 3:8; 4:46-48) inclusive of ALL GILEAD and ALL BASHAN (Deut. 3:10) with the JORDAN VALLEY on the EAST of the RIVER.

 

It was the land of the AMOR-ITE KINGS SIHON AND OG (Deut. 31:4; Josh. 2:10; 9:10) in total FIVE AMORITE KINGS that were DEFEATED in Joshua 10:10 and again at the waters of Merom by Joshua who smote them till there were none left - recorded in Joshua 11:8.

 

Surprisingly, in the days of Samuel there were peace between the "Amorites" and the Israelites (1 Sam. 7:14). This is explained by the circumstance that the terms "AMOR-ITES and AMALEK-ITES" are used equivalently for the "CANAANITES." In the same way the HIV-ITES in Genesis 34:2 are also the AMORITES of Genesis 48:22 - Also comparing Joshua 10:6; 11:19 with 2 Samuel 21:2 and Numbers 14:45 with Deuteronomy 1:44.

 

The AMOR-ITES were GIGANTIC - WARLIKE - AGGRESSIVE, HOSTILE, CONFRONTATIONAL, PROVOCATIVE, INSULTING, OFFENSIVE PEOPLE - HIGHLANDERS or MOUNTAINEERS as can be seen by the  EGYPTIAN MONUMENTS where they are portrayed  as GIANTS with FAIR SKINS, LIGHT HAIR, CURVED or BENT NOSES and BLUE EYES POINTED BEARDS.

 

They were MEN OF GREAT STATURE (Nephilim GIANTS) and their KING OG, is DESCRIBED by Moses (MORE THAN 440 YEARS LATER than the time of Abraham) in Deuteronomy 3:11 "as the LAST of the REMNANT of the GIANTS"   

 

BOTH SIHON AND OG were INDEPENDENT RULERS (KINGS) with ONLY ONE WORD of the AMORITE LANGUAGE that SURVIVED "SHENIR" the NAME they GAVE to MOUNT HERMON ("FORBIDDEN PLACE" - where the 200 angels descended before the flood - took themselves wives from the daughters of men - by FORCE - RAPING them).

 

When Moses spoke more than 440 years later to the Israelites - still on the EASTERN SIDE of the JORDAN RIVER in the wilderness - the Arabah - the DEEP VALLEY running north and south from the eastern arm of the Red Sea to beyond the Dead Sea, he said to them:

 

Deut. 1:2-6 "It is ONLY ELEVEN DAYS' JOURNEY FROM HOREB by the way of Mount Seir to Kadesh-Barnea [on Canaan's border; YET ISRAEL TOOK FORTY YEARS TO GET BEYOND IT].... Moses spoke to the Israelites according to ALL that YHWH had given him in COMMANDMENT to THEM, AFTER He (YHWH Himself) had DEFEATED SIHON king of the AMMOR-ITES, who LIVED in HESBON, AND (after YHWH Himself had DEFEATED) OG king of BASHAN, who lived in ASTAROTH [and] EDREI ... you have dwelt LONG ENOUGH ON THIS MOUNTAIN.

 

Deut. 2:7 TURN AND TAKE UP YOUR JOURNEY and GO TO THE HILL COUNTRY of the AMMORITES, and to ALL their NEIGHBOURS in the Arabah, in the hill country, in the lowland, in the South (the Negeb), an on the coast, the LAND OF THE CANAANITES, and LEBANON, as FAR AS THE GREAT RIVER, the river Euphrates.

 

:8 Behold, I have set the land before you; GO IN AN TAKE POSSESSION OF THE LAND which YHWH SWORE to YOUR fathers, to ABRAHAM, to ISAAC and to JACOB, to GIVE TO THEM AND to THEIR DESCENDANTS after them. :17 ... YOU SHALL NOT BE AFRAID OF THE FACE OF MAN, for the JUDGMENT IS GOD'S ...

 

Deut. 2:19 And when we DEPARTED from Horeb, we went through all that GREAT and TERRIBLE WILDERNESS which you saw on the way to the hill country of the Amorites, as YHWH our YAH COMMANDED us, and we came to Kadesh-Barnea.

 

:20-21 And I said to you, YOU HAVE COME to the HILL COUNTRY of the AMORITES which YHWH GIVES US. Behold, YHWH our YAH has set the land before you; GO UP AND POSSESS it, as YHWH, the YAH of your fathers, has said to you. FEAR NOT, NEITHER be DISMAYED.

 

SATAN on the WORK AGAIN - sowing FEAR - FEAR ALWAYS DISPLACES FAITH!

Deut. 2:22-25 Then you all came near to me and said, Let us send men before us, that they may search out the land for us and bring us word again by what way we should go up and the cities into which we shall come. ... I took 12 men, one for each tribe. And they turned and went up into the hill country, and came to the Valley of Eshcol and spied it out, And the took of the fruit of the land in their hands and brought it down to us and brought us word again, and said, IT IS A GOOD LAND which YHWH GIVES US.

 

:26-28 YET, YOU WOULD NOT GO UP, but REBELLED AGAINST the COMMANDMENT of YHWH your YAH. You were PEEVISH (grouchy, complaining, grumpy, cross, irritable,  annoyed) AND DISCONTENT (dissatisfied, unhappy, displeases, sad, restless) IN YOUR TENTS, and said, 'BECAUSE YHWH HATES US, He BROUGHT us FORTH OUT of the land of EGYPT to DELIVER US INTO THE HANDS of the AMORITES to DESTROY US, To WHAT ARE WE GOING UP? Our brethren have made our HEARTS MELT saying, THE PEOPLE ARE BIGGER AND TALLER THAN WE ARE; the CITIES ARE GREAT AND FORTIFIED to the HEAVENS. AND MOREOVER we HAVE SEEN the GIANTLIKE SONS of the ANAKIM THERE."

 

Deut. 3:8-10 "So we TOOK the LAND at that time OUT OF THE HAND of the TWO KINGS OF THE AMORITES WHO WERE BEYOND the JORDAN, from the VALLEY of the ARNON to MOUNT HERMON. The SIDONIANS CALL HERMON, SIRION, and the AMORITES CALL it SENIR. ALL the cities of the plain, and ALL Gilead, and ALL Bashan as far as Salecah and Edrei, cities of the KINGDOM of OG in Bashan.

 

:11 For ONLY OG king of Bashan REMAINED of the REMNANT of the GIGANTIC REPHAIM. Behold his bedstead was of IRON; is it not in RABBAH of the AMMON-ITES? NINE CUBITS is its LENGTH and FOUR CUBITS its BREADTH, using the CUBIT of a MAN [the FORARM to the END of the MIDDLE FINGER].

 

THE ABRAHAMIC COVENANT:

Gen. 15:4 "...he who come from your own body shall be your heir."

Gen. 15:5 "... Look towards the heavens and count the stars ... so shall your descendants be"

Gen. 15:7-11 "And YHWH said to him (Abram), I AM the (SAME) YAH, Who brought your OUT of UR of the Chaldees, to GIVE YOU THIS LAND AS AN INHERITANCE. But he (Abram) said, YHWH, by WHAT shall I KNOW that I SHALL INHERIT IT? And YHWH said to him, Bring to Me a heifer three years old, a she-goat three years old, a ram three years old, a turtledove, and a young pigeon. And Abram brought YHWH all these and cut them down the middle [into halves] and laid each half opposite the other; but the birds he did not divide. And when the birds of prey swooped down upon the carcasses, Abram drove them away. :17 When the sun had gone down and a [thick] darkness had come on, behold, a SMOKING OVEN AND A FLAMING TORCH PASSED BETWEEN THOSE PIECES.

 

:18 On the SAME DAY, YHWH MADE A COVENANT (PROMISE, PLEDGE) with Abram, saying, TO YOUR DESCENDANTS I HAVE GIVEN THIS LAND, from the RIVER OF EGYPT to the GREAT RIVER EUPHRATES - the LAND OF

 

:19 The KEN-ITES, the KENIZZ-ITES, the KADMON-ITES,

 

:20 The HITT-ITES, the PERIZZ-ITES, the REPHAIM,

 

:21 The AMOR-ITES, the CANAAN-ITES, the GIRGATH-ITES, and the JEBUS-ITES."

 

We should WAIT ON YHWH: HIS TIMING IS ALWAYS RIGHT:

Sarai, Abram's wife had borne him no children, so she took matters in her own hands by convincing Abram to take her Egyptian maid - Hagar - to be his secondary wife.

 

But when Hagar was with child, she looked down on Sarai and Genesis 16 tells the story of how Sarai sent Hagar away, but the Angel of YAH found her by a spring of water in the wilderness on the road to Shur. The Angel of YAH told her to GO BACK to her mistress and humbly submit her to her mistress' (Sarai's) control. Gen 16:11 "And the Angel of Yah continued, See now, you are with child and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Ishmael [Yah hears], because YHWH has HEARD and PAID ATTENTION to your affliction. :12 And he [Ishmael] will be AS A WILD ASS among men; his hand WILL BE AGAINST EVERY MAN and EVERY MAN'S HAND AGAINST him, and HE WILL LIVE to the EAST and on the BORDERS OF ALL HIS KINSMEN."

 

Gen. 16:16 tells us that Abram was eighty-six years old when HAGAR BORE ISHMAEL.

 

YHWH'S COVENANT with ABRAHAM RE-AFFIRMED:

THE PROMISED SEED - THE PROMISED LAND and BLESSINGS:

ABRAM'S NAME CHANGED to ABRAHAM as "father of a multitude":

When Abram was NINETY-NINE YEARS OLD, YHWH appeared to him, and said, I AM the ALMIGHTY YAH, WALK AND LIVE HABITUALLY BEFORE Me and BE PERFECT (blameless, wholehearted and complete), and I WILL MAKE MY COVENANT (solemn pledge) between Me and you ... Then Abram fell on his face and YHWH said, As for Me, behold MY COVENANT (solemn pledge) is WITH YOU and YOU SHALL be the father of MANY NATIONS. Nor shall your name any longer be Abram [high, exalted father]; but your name shall be ABRAHAM [father of a multitude]. (Gen. 17:1-5).

 

AN EVERLASTING PLEDGE that YAHWEH will be ABRAHAM and HIS DESCENDANTS GOD FOREVER:

Gen. 17:7 "And I WILL ESTABLISH MY COVENANT BETWEEN ME AND YOU AND YOUR DESCENDANTS AFTER YOU THROUGHOUT their GENERATIONS for an EVERLASTING SOLEMN PLEDGE, to be A GOD to you and to your posterity after you,

 

ISRAEL - THE LAND OF CANAAN AS AN EVERLASTING POSSESSION to ABRAHAM AND HIS DESCENDANTS FOREVER:

 :8 And I will GIVE TO YOU AND TO YOUR POSTERITY AFTER YOU the land in which you are a stranger [going from place to place] ALL the land of Canaan, for AN EVERLASTING POSSESSION, and I WILL BE THEIR GOD [Acts. 7:5]

 

THIS IS MY COVENANT WHICH YOU SHALL KEEP:

:9 And YHWH said to Abraham, As for you, you shall therefore KEEP MY COVENANT, YOU AND YOUR DESCENDANTS AFTER YOU THROUGHOUT THEIR GENERATIONS.

 

CIRCUMCISION the SIGN of YHWH'S COVENANT with ABRAHAM:

:10 - 13 THIS IS My COVENANT, which YOU SHALL KEEP, between Me and you and your posterity after you; EVERY MALE AMONG YOU SHALL BE CIRCUMCISED. ... and it shall be A TOKEN OR A SIGN of the COVENANT (the PROMISE OR PLEDGE) BETWEEN Me and you. He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, EVERY MALE THROUGOUT your GENERATIONS, whether BORN IN [your] house or bought with your money from any foreigner not of your offspring. He that is BORN in your house and he that is bought with your money MUST be CIRCUMCISED; and MY COVENANT SHALL BE IN YOUR FLESH FOR AN EVERLASTING COVENANT.

 

CUT OFF from his people IF NOT CIRCUMCISED:

:14 And the male that is NOT CIRCUMCISED, that SOUL SHALL BE CUT OFF from his people; HE HAS BROKEN My COVENANT.

 

SARAI'S NAME CHANGE: THEIR OWN SON to be born:

Gen. 17:15-16  "And YHWH said to Abraham, As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai; but SARAH (PRINCESS) her name shall be. And I WILL BLESS HER AND GIVE YOU A SON ALSO BY HER. YES, I WILL BLESS HER, and SHE shall be a MOTHER OF NATIONS; kings of peoples shall come from her.

 

THE SEED - HIS NAME SHALL BE ISAAC:

Gen. 17:19 "... Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed, and you shall call his name ISAAC (LAUGHTER) and I WILL ESTABLISH MY COVENANT or SOLEMN PLEDGE WITH him FOR AN EVERLASTING COVENANT AND WITH HIS POSTERITY AFTER him."

 

This PROMISE of a SEED was TWO-FOLD - firstly it applied to Isaac, Abraham's immediate heir THEN to MESSIAH - the ETERNAL SPIRITUAL SEED that would BRING REDEMPTION.

Thank You for YOUR COVENANTS - YOU ARE INDEED OUR COVENANT GOD - ELOHIM YAHWEH - our CREATOR and ALSO OUR LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER. Thank YOU FOR YOUR SON - our SAVIOR - REDEEMER - our SALVATION - our KING. IN HIS NAME, we pray. Amen.

PERILOUS TIMES

2 Tim. 3:1-4 “This know also, that in the last days PERILOUS TIMES shall come …”

 

PERILOUS TIMES:

In 2 Timothy Pauls describes the last days … the end-times as PERILOUS meaning DANGEROUS times … UNSAFE …  INSECURE … RISKY … TERRIFYING … SCARY … ALARMING … WORRYING … DREADFUL … SHOCKING … PANICKING etc.

 

We are indeed living in perilous times. Besides the pharmakeia witchcraft potions (vacceens) that were forced on us all with might … for the past two years, the entire world was told that wearing a MASK … COVERING THE FACE … would keep you safe as it  would stop the spread of the C-virus.

 

BREATHING NORMALLY - A NATURAL (God-given) ANTIVIRAL ACTIVITY:

During an extensive study, Harvard University has now found that the NATURAL EXCHANGE of carbon dioxide WASTE  for FRESH OXYGEN in the lungs (also known as RESPIRATION) is a POWERFUL ANTIVIRAL ACTIVITY that is DIRECTLY INTERFERED with by wearing the masks … putting our bodies at great RISK.

An article published as part of the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils (2018) says the following:

“Venom-derived peptides display diverse biological and pharmacological activities, making them useful in drug discovery platforms and for a wide range of applications in medicine and pharmaceutical biotechnology. Due to their target specificities, venom peptides have the potential to be developed into biopharmaceuticals to treat various health conditions such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and chronic pain. Despite the high potential for drug development, several limitations preclude the direct use of peptides as therapeutics and hamper the process of converting venom peptides into pharmaceuticals. These limitations include, for instance, chemical instability, poor oral absorption, short halflife, and off-target cytotoxicity. One strategy to overcome these disadvantages relies on the formulation of bioactive peptides with nanocarriers.
