FAITH and HOPE - 5 June 2019 (The Fountain of Living Waters) by Celia Joy Martins

 

FAITH:

FAITH defined is TRUST and CONFIDENCE in a PERSON, THING, or a BELIEF NOT BASED on PROOF. It is to EXPECT or to have an EXPECTATION ... an ATTITUDE of MIND,  BASED on EXPECTATION.

 

FAITH is the VERY BEGINNING of our RELATIONSHIP with YAHWEH God.

 

Faith in the Original Hebrew Picture Word (H529; H539) "EMUN" and/or "AMAN" is to PERMANENT TRUST or to BELIEVE - FAITHFUL - TRUTH - TRUSTWORTHY - ASSURANCE - FAITHFUL - STEADFAST - SURE - TURN to the RIGHT. It is figuratively speaking of the LOVING and CARING FATHER and TRUST IN Him.


HOPE:

HOPE  from the Original Hebrew Picture Word -  (H2468) "MAHASEH" or "MAHSEH" means:

A SHELTER or REFUGE; (Ps. 46 "YAH (God) is our REFUGE and STRENGTH ..."

 

PLACE of REFUGE:

(HIDING PLACE; SHELTER; SANCTUARY; PROTECTION; RETREAT; SAFE HAVEN):

Ps. 62:2b "Yahweh is my DEFENSE ..."

Ps. 36:1 "... an EVER-PRESENT HELP in TROUBLE ..."

Ps. 62:2 "Yahweh is my ROCK and my SALVATION ..."

Ps. 27:5 "For in the DAY of TROUBLE, He will CONCEAL me in His TABERNACLE; In the SECRET PLACE of His TENT He WILL HIDE me ..."

Ps. 91:2 "I will say to YAHWEH (the Lord); My REFUGE and my FORTRESS, My YAH (God) in whom I trust!"

 

And from the Original Hebrew Picture Word  (H2620) "HASA" that means:

To FLEE for PROTECTION;

To CONFIDE IN;

HAVE HOPE;

MAKE REFUGE;

TRUST - PUT TRUST IN - 

 

ALSO  "YACHAL" - to BE PATIENT, HOPE, WAIT, TRUST, to STAY in EXPECTATION. (Micah 7:7 "Therefore I will look to Yahweh (the Lord); I will WAIT for the YAH (God) of my SALVATION. My YAH (God) will HEAR me."

 

FAITH and HOPE BOTH MEANS to TRUST and they CONNECT in TRUST.

 

FAITH is the ASSURANCE of THINGS HOPED for, and the CERTAINTY of things yet UNSEEN. (Heb. 11:1).

 

FAITH is AN ACT OF WILL - a CHOICE - whilst HOPE is A STRONG FEELING GENERATED from FAITH.

 

WITHOUT FAITH, there is NO HOPE.

 

FAITH is the FOUNDATION for BELIEF.

 

FAITH is a little bit like LOYALTY and HOPE is a little bit like OPTIMISM.

 

FAITH CAN BE DISTORTED:

When we tend to have FAITH in BOOKS, or the RULES of our DENOMINATIONAL CHURCH or other "GODS" or DOGMATIC TEACHINGS or RITUALS we are TRUSTING in man and NOT in and on YAHWEH our God, and our HOPE lies in them or it ...

 

1 Peter 3:12 "For the EYES of YAHWEH are UPON the RIGHTEOUS [those who are UPRIGHT and in RIGHT STANDING with YAH (God)], and HIS EARS are ATTENTIVE to their PRAYER. But the FACE of YAHWEH is AGAINST THOSE WHO PRACTICE EVIL."

 

THE HOPE IN US through FAITH:

1 Peter 3:14 "But in YOU HEARTS SET MESSIAH YAHSHUA APART as HOLY [and ACKNOWLEDGE Him], as YAH (God, the Lord). ALWAYS be READY to GIVE A LOGICAL DEFENSE to ANYONE WHO ASKS you to ACCOUNT for the HOPE that IS IN you, but DO it COURTEOUSLY and RESPECTFULLY." [Is. 8:12, 13]

 

FAITH as a STATEMENT in LIVING our LIVES:

In Galatians 1 the apostle Paul defines faith in a different way and as a CONFESSION, a CREED or a STATEMENT of the PRINCIPLE'S of the WAY(S) we live.

 

FAITH - A BELIEVE SYSTEM:

Jude also describes FAITH as a "BODY of BELIEFS" to which we NEED to CLING to STEADFASTLY and APPLY it to our LIVES and LIFE'S CHALLENGES. (Jude 3).

 

FAITH as PERSONAL TRUST or CONFIDENCE in YAH:

When Yahshua addressed Thomas and said to him: "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have BELIEVED. BLESSED are THOSE who HAVE NOT SEEN and YET HAVE BELIEVED (had faith)"  (John 20:29) -FAITH is INDICATED as a PERSONAL TRUST or CONFIDENCE in YAHSHUA.

 

SOMETIMES we READ or HEAR the WORD ... but  STILL COULD NOT HEAR:

Rom. 10:17 "So then FAITH comes by HEARING, and HEARING by the WORD of YAH (God)."

 

Many times we READ or HEAR the WORD but we are NOT ACTUALLY LISTENING ... CLOSING the DOOR ourselves in  really HEARING it and OBEYING it.

 

When we actually HEAR the WORD of YAH - LISTEN to it - TAKING it to HEART - HEEDING it - it BECOMES PART OF US and WHO WE ARE - PART of our THINKING and our LIFESTYLE of LIVING.

 

YAHSHUA DECLARED in John 6:63 "The WORDS that I SPEAK to you are SPIRIT, and they ARE LIFE."

 

THOUGHTFUL LISTENING:

Through thoughtful LISTENING - FAITH CONTAINS:

KNOWING YAH and HIS WORD;

TRUSTING YAH and HIS WORD;

UNDERSTANDING YAH and HIS WORD;

and CONVICTION of SIN (through YAHWEH, YAHSHUA, HIS WORD and/or a MESSENGER (angel, prophet, or teacher/minister) SENT by YAH.

 

FAITH (although spiritual and UNSEEN) is the FOUNDATION of BELIEF - SUPPORTING our BELIEF and MOTIVATES our EVERYDAY LIVING - LIFESTYLES and ACTIONS.

 

SLIPPING AWAY:

It is only through our OWN PERSONAL NEGLECT in LISTENING and OBEYING the WORD of YAH, and our OWN IGNORANCE that we are SLIPPING AWAY from our FAITH. In SELFISH BEHAVIOR and ATTITUDE, we WOULD NOT LISTEN to CONVICTION ... and END UP in GOING BACKWARD instead of GOING FORWARD in FAITH - and our FAITH is in the PROCESS of DYING.

 

In a STATE of HEARING but NOT LISTENING ... the HEARER only REMAINS INFORMED  and  would REFUSE STUBBORNLY to SUBMIT to what he HAS HEARD.

 

The BIBLICAL KNOWLEDGE would NEVER SETTLE in the HEART and it REMAINS ONLY INFORMATION.

 

The SUBMISSIVE (obedient) PERSON who would HEED the BIBLICAL INFORMATION'S LIFE WOULD BE CHANGED ... for he is HEARING and LISTENING OUTWARDLY AND INWARDLY (from the OUTSIDE IN) while the UNSUBMISSIVE (disobedient) PERSON'S SPIRITUAL and PHYSICAL  LIFE would STAY the SAME or EVEN GO BACKWARD for he HEARS ONLY OUTWARDLY ... INWARDLY it would NOT ENTER.

PERILOUS TIMES

2 Thess. 2:9-10 “The COMING of the LAWLESS ONE, the ANTICHRIST, is through the ACTIVITY and WORKING of SATAN … And by UNLIMITED SEDUCTION to EVIL and with ALL WICKED DECEPTION of THOSE who are PERISHING because they DID NOT WELCOME the TRUTH but REFUSED to LOVE it that they MIGHT be SAVED.

 

:11 Therefore YAH SENDS UPON them a MISLEADING INFLUENCE, a WORKING of ERROR and a STRONG DELUSION to MAKE THEM BELIEVE what is FALSE. In order that ALL MAY BE JUDGED and CONDEMNED who DID NOT BELIEVE in the TRUTH but instead took PLEASURE in UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.”

 

Rev. 3:3 “  … and hold FAST, and REPENT …”

 

2 Peter 3:3-4 “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their OWN LUSTS …”

 

1 Tim. 4:1 “Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to SEDUCING SPIRITS, and DOCTRINES of DEVILS …”

 

2 Tim. 3:1-4 “This know also, that in the last days PERILOUS TIMES shall come …”

 

PERILOUS TIMES:

In 2 Timothy Pauls describes the last days … the end-times as PERILOUS meaning DANGEROUS times … UNSAFE …  INSECURE … RISKY … TERRIFYING … SCARY … ALARMING … WORRYING … DREADFUL … SHOCKING … PANICKING etc.

 

We are indeed living in perilous times. Besides the pharmakeia witchcraft potions (vacceens) that were forced on us all with might … for the past two years, the entire world was told that wearing a MASK … COVERING THE FACE … would keep you safe as it  would stop the spread of the C-virus.

 

BREATHING NORMALLY - A NATURAL (God-given) ANTIVIRAL ACTIVITY:

During an extensive study, Harvard University has now found that the NATURAL EXCHANGE of carbon dioxide WASTE  for FRESH OXYGEN in the lungs (also known as RESPIRATION) is a POWERFUL ANTIVIRAL ACTIVITY that is DIRECTLY INTERFERED with by wearing the masks … putting our bodies at great RISK.

 

OXYGENATING our BLOOD and BOOSTING our IMMUNE FUNCTION:

It was found that the tiny sacs (ALVEOLI) inside our lungs exchanging Carbon Dioxide for OXYGEN with every breath we take – is facilitating the transaction of CO2 exhaled by our bodies … inhaling OXYGEN. It is a process of OXYGENATING our BLOOD and BOOSTING our IMMUNE function.

An article published as part of the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils (2018) says the following:
