Paganism (Ref.43) 5 January 2018 (From the pen of Celia Joy Martins)

 

PAGANISM (reverence - worshipping other gods) is mentioned MANY  times in the BIBLE as a RELIGION and RELIGIOUS PRACTICE that was  ABOHORRENT (STRONGLY DISLIKE and HATING it) to YHWH and a religion OPPOSING YHWH being in  CONFLICT and COMPETING with Him.

 

Ancient paganism were inclusive of starry-host worshipping - many gods worshipping with pagan priests - temples or shrines - temple prostitution - high places with altars for sacrifices of animal and human origin.

 

We read in Scripture that the high places with altars for sacrifices were DRENCHED with the BLOOD of the HUMAN VICTIMS. The kingdoms of Israel and Judah both fell into idolatry with their main god "BAAL" and his "consort wife "ASHERAH" - both from ancient Babylon (Satan and his agents through Nimrod and Semiramis) travelling through time into the entire world under many names. With them and to complete the false trinity, the son Tammuz were venerated as the re-incarnated sun-god "Baal" (Molech, Dagon etc.) (rebirthed or "RAISED") on the 25th of December annually.

 

PAGANISM is WITCHCRAFT - STARRY-HOST WORSHIPPING - DIVINATION - SPIRITISM -  but all pointing to SATANISM in DISGUISE.

 

The word or term "PAGAN" occurs 27 times in 7 translations of the Bible. (AM - 7 times; HCSB - 3 times; ISV - 2 times; J200 - 1 time; NASB - 1 time; NET - 12 times and WEB - 1 time).

 

Lev. 25:44 "As for your male and female slaves whom you may have - you may acquire male and female slaves from the PAGAN nations that are round you" (NASB)

 

2 Kings 9:22 "When Jehoram saw Jehu, he askes, 'Is everything all right, Jehu?' He replied, 'How can everything be all right as long as YOUR MOTHER JEZEBEL PROMOTES IDOLATRY and PAGAN PRACTICES?'." (NET)

 

2 Kings 23:5 "He eliminated the PAGAN PRIESTS whom the kings of Judah had appointed to offer sacrifices on the high places in the cities of Judah and in the area right around Jerusalem. Daniel 11:31 "And armed forces of his shall appear [in the holy land] and they shall pollute the sanctuary, the [spiritual] stronghold, and shall take away the continual [daily burnt offering]; and they shall set up [in the sanctuary] the abomination that astonishes and makes desolate [probably an ALTAR to a PAGAN god]." Micah 1:5 "... Where are Judah's PAGAN WORSHIP CENTERS, you ask?. They are RIGHT IN Jerusalem!" (NET)

 

Zephaniah 1:4 "I will stretch out My hand against Judah and against all the residents of Jerusalem. I will cut off from this place every vestige of BAAL, the NAMES of the PAGAN PRIESTS ALONG with the priests; " (HCSB, ISV, NET, WEB)

 

Matthew 18:17 "If he pays no attention to them [refusing to LISTEN AND OBEY], TELL it to the church (assembly); and if he refuses to listen even to the assembly, let him be to you as a PAGAN and a tax collector." (AM)

 

Luke 12:30 "For ALL the PAGAN world is [greedily] seeking these things, and your Father knows that you need them." (AM)

 

2 Cor. 7:10 "For godly grief and the pain YHWH is permitted TO DIRECT, PRODUCE A REPENTANCE that LEADS and CONTRIBUTES to SALVATION and DELIVERANCE FROM EVIL, and it NEVER bring regret; but WORLDLY GRIEF [the HOPELESS SORROW that is CHARACTERISTIC of the PAGAN world] is DEADLY [breeding and ending in death]. For our heavenly Father the pagan religion of the nations of the world was an abomination:

Ex. 22:20 "He who SACRIFICES to ANY god, other than to YHWH ALONE, shall be utterly destroyed."

 

Deut. 32:17-20 "They SACRIFICED to DEMONS, not to YHWH - to GODS WHOM they KNEW NOT, to NEW gods LATELY COME UP, whom your fathers NEVER KNEW or FEARED. Of the ROCK Who bore you, you were UNMINDFUL; you FORGOT YAH ... And YAH SAW it and He SPURNED AND REJECTED them, OUT of INDIGNATION [anger] with His sons and His daughters. And He said, I WILL HIDE My FACE from them ... for THEY are a PERVERSE [stubborn, headstrong, disobedient] GENERATION, CHILDREN in whom is NO FAITHFULNESS."

 

2 Kings 21:6 "He made his son pass through the fire, practiced WITCHCRAFT and USED DIVINATION, and DEALT with MEDIUMS and SPIRITISTS. He did MUCH EVIL in the SIGHT of YAH, PROVOKING Him to anger."

 

MODERN-DAY PAGANISM:

Modern-day Paganism is still a religion of place or a religion of tradition or a combination of both. It has developed alongside mankind and inside cultures. Paganism in the Western World takes a number of forms including Wicca - the nice modern name for WITCHCRAFT - the OCCULT form of Paganism - Druidism and also Shamanism. It also include Spiritism - "Angels" - "Karma" - fortune-telling - re-incarnation - the 'Yule'-god venerating - "Noel" - "Ying-Yan"   etc.

 

Pagans in the Western traditions celebrate up to 8 festivals or "Sabbaths" annually.

 

They celebrate the four solar quarters  that are - the two solstices (longest and shortest days) and the two equinoxes when the day and night are the same length.

 

The "CYCLE of LIFE" or the "WHEEL of LIFE":

Pagans also celebrate the four Celtic 'fire' festivals (Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane and Lammas feasts) that are to them the "markers of important events in the cycle of life".  To them it is also symbolic of changes in the god and goddes they serve.

 

The "WHEEL of LIFE" is also called the GARDNERIAN WHEEL - a combination of two ANCIENT WHEELS.

 

The HUNTING WHEEL has two god births. The birth of the Oak king that is born in midsummer and rules till Yule when he dies and the Holly king is born.

 

The AGRICULTURAL WHEEL: Birth of the YOUNG god at EASTER (Ostara), [OSTARA (EASTER) - the spring equinox - 21 March - Return of the SUN from the SOUTH - springtime proper - celebration of a "holy union" between god and goddess. (sun-god and moon-goddess - both gods of fertility etc.)] symbolic of the sun-son rising in the East. He dies in the second harvest, Mabon  (MABON - the Autumn equinox - appr. 21 Septemer  - The second fruit harvest celebration - making plans for the winter month that was to come.)

 

PAGAN FEASTS:

1. SAMHAIN (SOWAIN) 31 October: (HALLOWEEN)

THE FEAST OF THE DEAD - A FIRE FESTIVAL - It also marks the end of the Celtic year and the start of the new spiritual new year. This feast is also known as   "ALL HALLOWS DAY" the night before being "ALL HALLOWS EVE" (HALLOWEEN) - ALL SOULS NIGHT. "ANOTHER TURN of the WHEEL of the YEAR or the WHEEL OF LIFE"

 

2. YULE (YULETIDE - Yule time) start 21 December (Christmastide):

A festival of 12 days during the WINTER SOLSTICE, REBIRTH of the SUN(god) and the gradual lengthening of the days towards springtime and LIFE. It was observed historically by the Germanic peoples (god Odin) and the Anglo-Saxon people "Modraniht" being "Christianized" resulting in the "CHRISTMASTIDE". December is also known as the "MONTH of YULE".  The Norse word Yule refers to Odin (ancient Baal) - god the 'father' or the 'Yule-father' or the 'Yule-One" and can also refer to the Norse gods in general - the pantheon (gods) Odin, Frigg, Freyja, Thor, Balder, Thor etc.  It also has an old French connection - Icelandic, Nowergian, Danish, Swedish and Indo-European connection.

 

The Nordic countries used this Yuletide for Christmas with its religious RITES but also for the holidays of the "Christmas" season.

 

Today the event is used in the English-speaking world as "Christmas" - with "Christmas customs and traditions" such as YULE LOG, YULE GOAT, YELE BOAR, YULE SINGING and other celebrations stemming from PAGAN YULE.

 

3. IMBOLC or "BRIDE'S DAY - (A FIRE FESTIVAL) - FESTIVAL OF LIGHT:

In honor of the goddess that return to the land - start of spring - CALLED the FESTIVAL OF LIGHT.

 

4. OSTARA (EASTER) - the spring equinox - 21 March:

Return of the SUN from the SOUTH - springtime proper - celebration of a "holy union" between god and goddess. (sun-god and moon-goddess - both gods of fertility etc.)

 

5. BELTANE (starting on May day) (a FIRE FESTIVAL)

Summertime celebration of NEW LIFE and the 'HOLY MARRIAGE" of god and goddess.

 

6. LITHA (MIDSOMER or MIDSUMMER) (app. 21 June)

The summer solstice - celebrating that everything is GREEN thanks to the god of nature "the GREEN MAN" - Pagan followers can also go under the name of the "GREENIES" the "GREENS" etc.

 

7. LUGHNASADH or LAMMAS - end of August:

The festival of the first harvest. (A FIRE FESTIVAL).

 

8. MABON - the Autumn equinox - appr. 21 Septemer :

The second fruit harvest celebration - making plans for the winter month that was to come.

 

Father, the things the pagans do and celebrate sound so familiar - familiar in the way they do it and celebrate it only with a little sauce of 'Christianity' camouflaging the truth of it.  Abba, we live in a pagan world with pagan celebrations - and it has infiltrated every area of our lives. It is even in our churches - leading multitudes astray. O Father,  we plead for discernment to be able to see the enemy's work in our own lives and the lives of the people around us. Help us to repent Father so that we can come clean - be well-pleasing to You - free from all things of the wrongs of the past we so diligently cling to. Help us Father to TURN AWAY from ALL THINGS that is NOT FROM YOU. Help us through the working power of YOUR HOLY SPIRIT to HAVE the STRENGTH to TURN AWAY from it - Give us Messianic eyes to SEE and Messianic ears to HEAR and help us to HEAR AND OBEY. Help us to NOT have a YEARNING for the things of the WORLD but let us YEARNING be for YOU our wonderful KING. In Yahshua's name. Amen.

PERILOUS TIMES

PERILOUS TIMES:

In 2 Timothy Pauls describes the last days … the end-times as PERILOUS meaning DANGEROUS times … UNSAFE …  INSECURE … RISKY … TERRIFYING … SCARY … ALARMING … WORRYING … DREADFUL … SHOCKING … PANICKING etc.

 

We are indeed living in perilous times. Besides the pharmakeia witchcraft potions (vacceens) that were forced on us all with might … for the past two years, the entire world was told that wearing a MASK … COVERING THE FACE … would keep you safe as it  would stop the spread of the C-virus.

 

BREATHING NORMALLY - A NATURAL (God-given) ANTIVIRAL ACTIVITY:

During an extensive study, Harvard University has now found that the NATURAL EXCHANGE of carbon dioxide WASTE  for FRESH OXYGEN in the lungs (also known as RESPIRATION) is a POWERFUL ANTIVIRAL ACTIVITY that is DIRECTLY INTERFERED with by wearing the masks … putting our bodies at great RISK.

An article published as part of the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils (2018) says the following:
