HIS WORD - our MEDICINE - 8 July 2019

 

Prov. 4:20-22

"My son (daughter), attend to My words, incline your ears unto My saying.

Let them NOT DEPART from your eyes;
KEEP them in the MIDST of your HEART.

 

For they are LIFE unto THOSE that FIND THEM and

HEALTH (MEDICINE) to ALL their FLESH."

 

AN INVITATION:

In Proverbs we receive an INVITATION - a "CALL" from our heavenly Father:

 

My dear child ... "ATTEND to MY WORDS; INCLINE YOUR EARS unto MY SAYINGS" ... for the BIBLICAL KEYS to HEALING from our heavenly Father is HEARING and OBEYING.

 

Time and again our heavenly Father says in His Word ... "... if you FAITHFULLY OBEY the COMMANDS I am GIVING to you today ... " (Deut. 11:13) ...

 

"HEAR, O Israel (and EVERY BELIEVER in Him) and be CAREFUL to OBSERVE them ..." (Deut. 6:3)

 

Whoever GIVES HEED to INSTRUCTION PROSPERS, and

BLESSED is the ONE WHO TRUSTS in YAHWEH (the Lord).

 

His PROMISE:

Abba was PROMISING His CHILDREN  - Israel and EACH ONE OF US TODAY:

"My dear child ... IF YOUR ARE OBEDIENT and LISTEN to MY WORD - OBEYING MY WORD - INCLINING your EARS to WHAT I SAY in MY WORD - HEED AND DO MY COMMANDS and COMMANDMENTS - FOLLOWING Me WHOLEHEARTEDLY  ... you will be BLESSED and it will be HEALTH to ALL of YOUR BODY - it will be the ONLY "MEDICINE" you'll EVER NEED."

 

This PROMISE of "MEDICINE" for the WHOLE PHYSICAL BODY - (and also for our spirits and souls (hearts and minds)  - LEAVES NO ROOM for SICKNESS.

 

HEALTH means to be FIT and WELL - full of STRENGTH physical and spiritual and VIGOR (energy, vitality, drive - physical and spiritually) - to be full of LIFE.

 

"Therefore everyone who hears these Words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a man who built his house on the Rock." (Matt. 7:24).

 

TAKING our "WORD-MEDICINE" ACCORDING to His DIRECTIONS:

When taking our "WORD-MEDICINE" we NEED to be OBEDIENT to the "INSTRUCTION MANUAL of LIFE" - the WORD of YAHWEH God.

 

According to the verses in Proverbs there are specific instructions:

 

Prov. 4:20-22 "My son (daughter) ..."

1.  "ATTEND to MY WORDS":

ATTEND means to LISTEN CAREFULLY - to CONCENTRATE - to FOCUS - to KEEP OUR MINDS ON - PAY ATTENTION - THINK ABOUT it - to APPLY it to OUR MINDS and LIVES ...

 

2. "INCLINE your EARS unto MY SAYING":

INCLINE means to TUNE-IN our EARS to the "HEAVENLY STATION" -   to LISTEN with our FULL ATTENTION - to LISTEN INTENTLY - CLOSELY and CAREFULLY in order to ABSORB it ... to MAKE it OUR OWN. It means FIXEDLY LISTENING.

 

3. "LET THEM NOT DEPART from your EYES":

Let them NOT DEPART from your EYES  means to LET  our heavenly FATHER'S  WORD - HIS LAWS - HIS COMMANDMENTS - HIS TEACHINGS - be BEFORE our EYES ALWAYS - KEEPING it in MIND and  THOUGHT - THINKING ABOUT IT - PONDERING on it ...

4. KEEP them in the MIDST of your HEART:

KEEP them in the MIDST of your HEART means to LET  it be FIXED in our HEARTS (our spirits) - MAKING IT OUR OWN - LET it  DRENCH us - MAKES it to PENETRATED DEEP into us - "FEEDING" on it - LET IT BE OUR WEAPON of DEFENCE and a WAY OF LIFE.

 

LISTEN CAREFULLY - (Mark 4:24):

We need to LISTEN WHOLEHEARTEDLY - NOT HALFHEARTEDLY for in Mark 4:24 Yahshua said:

"....BE CAREFUL what you are HEARING.

The MEASURE of THOUGHT and STUDY  

you GIVE to the TRUTH you HEAR

will be the MEASURE of VIRTUE

(the spiritual asset, quality, advantage, benefit, righteousness, integrity, honesty, morality, uprightness)

AND KNOWLEDGE

that COMES BACK to you -

and MORE BESIDES

will be GIVEN to YOU

WHO HEAR."

 

:25 "For to him WHO HAS WILL MORE BE GIVEN; and from him WHO HAS NOTHING even WHAT HE HAS WILL BE TAKEN AWAY [by FORCE]" (AMP).

 

5. "... For they are LIFE ..."

HIS WORD MEANS "LIFE". When following HIS WORD, LISTEN CAREFULLY to HIS VOICE COMMANDING us to DO HIS COMMANDS - and are OBEDIENT in DOING HIS WORD - it is LIFE everlastingly ... it is HIS WORD THAT LEADS us - TEACHES us - SHOWS us the WAY - BRINGS us to REPENTANCE and INTO LIFE FOREVER with our BELOVED MESSIAH.  

 

It is HIS WORD that are the MEDICINE for our BODIES when we "DRINK" HIS WORD - LET IT GO INTO our BODIES - VIA our MINDS AND THOUGHTS INTO our HEARTS (spirits) - our INNERMOST BEINGS.

 

THEN ALONE will we be able to COMPLETELY and WHOLEHEARTEDLY LEAN ON, TRUST IN, and be CONFIDENT in ABBA our FATHER.  Prov. 3:5 "LEAN ON, TRUST IN, and be CONFIDENT in YAHWEH (the Lord) with ALL YOUR HEART and MIND and DO NOT RELY on YOUR OWN INSIGHT or UNDERSTANDING. :6 In ALL your WAYS KNOW, RECONGNIZE and ACKNOWLEDGE Him, and HE WILL DIRECT and MAKE STRAIGHT your PATHS.

 

:7 BE NOT WISE in your OWN EYS; REVERENTLY FEAR and WORSHIP YAHWEH (the Lord) and TURN ENTIRELY AWAY from EVIL."

 

It is through HIS WORD that WE COME to KNOW our FATHER in heaven - come to KNOW who we are IN HIM. Come to TRUST in HIM ALONE and LET HIM MAKE our PATHS STRAIGHT.

 

HEALTH to our NERVES and SINEWS, and MARROW and MOISTENING to our BONES:

Proverbs 3  tells us that if we are living in OBEDIENCE to our YAH, TRUSTING Him alone - RELYING on Him ALONE - LETTING  HIS COMMANDS in HIS WORD MAKE ITS DWELLING PLACE in us - LISTENING and DOING HIS WORD - LIVE ACCORDING to HIS WORD - we will be BLESSED with GOOD HEALTH.

 

Prov. 3:8 "It shall be HEALTH to your NERVES AND SINEWS, and MARROW and MOISTENING to your BONES."

 

LIFE is in the BLOOD says Scripture:

Lev. 17:10 "Any one of the house of Israel or of the strangers who dwell temporarily among them WHO EATS ANY KIND OF BLOOD, AGAINST that person I WILL SET My FACE and I WILL CUT HIM OFF from among his people that he MAY NOT BE INCLUDED in the ATONEMENT made for them.

 

:11 For the LIFE (the soul) is in the BLOOD, and I HAVE GIVEN IT FOR YOU UPON the ALTAR to MAKE ATONEMENT for your SOULS; for it is the BLOOD that MAKES ATONEMENT by REASON of the LIFE which it REPRESENTS." (AMP)  

 

The IMPORTANCE of HEALTH to our NERVES and MUSCLES (SINEWS):

Our NERVES can be severely affected by anxieties, worries, tensions, stresses, concerns, mental strain, nervous tension, uneasiness, nervousness.

 

Scientists had discovered that almost all ailments come from being under STRESS and ANXIETY - inclusive but not exhaustive of allergies - headaches - depressions - immune disorders etc.

 

THE NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATES our BLOOD FLOW and PRESSURE, BREATHING, DIGESTING etc. It is the "MESSAGE" CARRIER between our BODY and our BRAIN. It CREATES CONCIOUSNESS and COORDINATES ACTIONS and all the INTERNAL PROCESSES.

 

A JOYFUL HEART is GOOD MEDICINE:

Proverbs 17:22 tells us that a JOYFUL HEART is GOOD MEDICINE but a CRUSHED SPIRIT (continually and habitually being tormented by anxieties, worries and stress) DRIES UP THE BONES.

 

ANXIETY WEIGHS DOWN the HEART:

Prov. 12:25 "ANXIETY WEIGHS DOWN the HEART, but a KIND WORD CHEERS it UP."

 

DO NOT WORRY:

Messiah says in Matt. 6:34 "THEREFORE DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW, for TOMORROW WILL WORRY ABOUT ITSELF."

 

CAST your ANXIETIES ON HIM:

1 Peter 5:7 "CAST ALL YOUR ANXIETY ON Him because HE CARES for you."

 

MUSCLES:

MUSCLES and NERVE FIBERS allow us to MOVE our BODIES. It helps us to CHEW our FOOD and HELP MOVING it through the DIGESTIVE SYSTEM.

 

Muscles enable our INTERNAL ORGANS to FUNCTION. Forty percent of our BODY WEIGHT is MUSCLES.

Muscle movement as in exercise, help to INCREASE the BLOOD CELLS in our BODIES and HELPS CARRYING QXYGEN to all our TISSUES AND ORGANS.

 

The IMPORTANCE of HEALTH to  our MARROW and BONES:

Prov. 3:8 "It shall be HEALTH to your NERVES AND SINEWS,

and MARROW and MOISTENING to your BONES"

I am no specialist or doctor or medical scientist, knowing in detail aspects of our BLOOD and BONE MARROW, but what I am about to share to you today is what was 'revealed' to me in regard to HEALTH to our MARROW and MOISTENING to our BONES as per the Scriptural verse above.

 

THE PLACE WHERE NEW BLOOD CELLS ARE PRODUCED:

MARROW (BONE MARROW) is found in the center of the BONES. It is the PLACE where NEW BLOOD CELLS are PRODUCED.

 

There are TWO TYPES of BONE MARROW - RED MARROW (MYELOID TISSUE) and YELLOW MARROW.

 

BONE MARROW CONTAINS TWO TYPES of STEM CELLS.

1. HEMOPOIETIC - PRODUCE BLOOD CELLS and

2. STROMAL - PRODUCE FAT, CARTILAGE and BONE.

 

The BONE MARROW MANUFACTURES (bone marrow) STEM CELLS besides other substances, which IN TURN PRODUCE BLOOD CELLS. The RED MARROW  MANUFACTURES RED BLOOD CELLS, PLATELETS and MOST WHITE BLOOD CELLS. SOME WHITE BLOOD CELLS are MANUFACTURED in YELLOW MARROW.

 

BOTH type of MARROW CONTAINS BLOOD VESSELS and CAPILLARIES (tubes). At BIRTH - ALL BONE MARROW is RED and with AGE MORE AND MORE of it CONVERTED to the YELLOW TYPE.

 

At ADULT STAGE, we HAVE AN AVERAGE of 2.6kg. of BONE MARROW - HALF of it being RED.

 

RED MARROW is found MAINLY in the FLAT BONES - the HIP BONE, BREAST BONE, SKULL, RIBS, SPINAL COLUMN and SHOULDER BLADES and in the "SPONGY" material at the PROXIMAL ENDS of the LONG BONES FEMUR and HUMERUS.

 

There are SERIOUS DISEASES INVOLVING BONE MARROW. With SEVERE BLOOD LOSS, the BODY CONVERTS YELLOW MARROW BACK to RED MARROW in order to try INCREASING BLOOD CELL PRODUCTION.

 

Normal MARROW ARCHITECTURE can be DISPLACED by MALIGNANCIER or INFECTIONS for example TUBERCULOSIS that leads to a DECREASE in the PRODUCTION of BLOOD CELLS and BLOOD PLATELETS and LEUKEMIAS.

 

BLOOD CELLS:

Each type of blood cell - all being made by the BONE MARROW - has a very important function.

 

RED BLOOD CELLS - carrying OXYGEN to all the TISSUE in the BODY.

 

PLATELETS - Stopping  BLEEDING by helping BLOOD CLOTTING.

 

WHITE BLOOD CELLS  - FIGHTING INFECTIONS.

There are three very important white blood cells essential to the proper functioning of our IMMUNE SYSTEMS  - which fight INFECTION.

 

THE "EATING" GERMS WHITE BLOOD CELLS:

FUNGAL and BACTERIA INFECTIONS:

Neutrophils and Macrophages are fighting fungal infections and bacteria by "ELIMINATING" the germs ("eating" it).

 

THE "FIGHTING" and "ATTACKING" WHITE BLOOD CELLS:

BACTERIAL, VIRAL AND FUNGAL INFECTIONS:

Lymphocytes are white blood cells fighting bacterial, fungal and viral infections.

T Lymphocytes or "T" cells ATTACK VIRUSES and GERMS.

B Lymphocytes or "B" cells make ANTIBODIES which help to DESTROY the GERMS in our BODIES.

 

6. "... unto THOSE that FIND THEM ..."

Scripture makes it clear that THIS PROMISE OF HEALING is ONLY AVAILABLE to THOSE WHO FIND THEM ... THOSE WHO ARE OBEDIENT to the WORD ... and for THOSE WHO FIND IT it will BRING HEALTH to ALL THEIR FLESH.

 

7. HEALTH (MEDICINE) to ALL their FLESH."

 

Deut. 13:4 "It is Yahweh (the Lord) your Elohim (God) you must follow, and Him you must REVERE. KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS and OBEY Him; SERVE Him and HOLD FAST to Him.

 

"FOR I AM YAHWEH WHO HEALS YOU" ... IF you will ...

Ex. 15:26 "If you will DILIGENTLY HEED the VOICE of YAHWEH your ELOHIM and DO WHAT IS RIGHT in His SIGHT, GIVE EAR to His COMMANDMENTS and KEEP ALL His STATUTES, I WILL PUT NONE of the DISEASES UPON you which I HAVE BROUGHT UPON the EGYPTIANS.

FOR I AM YAHWEH who HEALS you."

 

THE CONDITIONS that NEED to be MET:

1. LISTEN and DILIGENTLY HEED:

The Bible tells us to LISTEN and DILIGENTLY HEED the VOICE of our heavenly Father - READ HIS WORD to LISTEN and DO HIS WORD - HIS COMMANDS - COMMANDMENTS. It means to LISTEN with ATTENTION - LISTEN to TAKE it IN - LISTEN to HEAR - LISTEN with WHOLEHEARTED ATTENTION.

 

FAITH comes FIRST ... then HEALING:

It is by FAITH that we RECEIVE the HEALING that is PROMISED to us by our Father when we MET HIS CONDITIONS and FAITH can only COME by HEARING - GENUINELY HEARING the WORD of YAHWEH God. Rom. 10:17 "So then FAITH comes by HEARING, and HEARING by the WORD OF YAHWEH God."

 

HEAR - LISTEN and OBEY:

EVERYTHING of SPIRITUAL WORTH comes FROM the WORD of YAHWEH God - and US HEARING and LISTENING and OBEING the WORD of YAHWEH God.

 

IT'S NOT NEGOTIABLE but it's an own CHOICE:

Our heavenly Father did not given us His Word so that we can THINK about IF we want to listen or not. He GIVES it to US SO THAT WE CAN HEAR, LISTEN and OBEY - so that we can come to KNOW Him FIRSTLY - come to have FAITH and HEALING and ALL GOOD WORKS and ENTER INTO the COVENANT RELATIONSHIP He wants to have with us - through His Son Who BOUGHT us to be HIS OWN. We are dearly PAID FOR.

 

ONLY READING without DOING is NOT ENOUGH:

If we only read the Bible, NOT TAKING IN what ABBA TELLS us ... NOT DOING what HE ASKS of us ... then we will never REALLY REALLY KNOW Him, NEVER come into a relationship with Him - will NOT have FAITH and will NOT be HEALED ... we NEED to MEET HIS CONDITIONS.

 

COME IN RIGHT STANDING WITH YAHWEH GOD:

There are many PROMISES in the Bible, promises of:

HEALING

HEALTH'

STRENGTH

LONG LIFE

PROSPERITY

ABUNDANCE

BLESSINGS  ... IF WE WOULD ONLY LISTEN and OBEY HIM.

 

We are ALL SINNERS:

To really come in right standing with our Maker, we NEED to see ourselves for who we are. We are all sinners. Our hearts are deceitful ABOVE ALL THINGS says Jeremiah 17:9. We need to GUARD our HEARTS for EVERYTHING FLOW from it says Proverbs 4:23.

 

Romans 13:14 tells us to RATHER CLOTHE OURSELVES with YAHSHUA our MESSIAH and to NOT THINK ABOUT HOW to GRATIFY the DESIRES of the FLESH. So our HEARTS are DECEITFUL and our FLESH is WEAK. We are SINNERS and therefore we NEED a HUMBLE ATTITUDE coming before our Father in heaven, laying the FLESH DOWN - let GO of the FLESHY DESIRES and SHUN ALL IMMORALITY. We NEED to PREPARE a "HOLY" temple in who He can DWELL. (1 Cor. 6:18 "SUN IMMORALITY. Every other sin which man commits is OUTSIDE the body; but the IMMORAL MAN SINS AGAINST HIS OWN BODY.")

 

FOOTHOLDS for the ENEMY:

ANGER:

Anger is a natural human emotion that can spring up when we think we are being unjustly handled. Anger comes from the FLESHLY NATURE inside of us. It can also come from embarrassment, patience that run dried, or unprocessed past hurts in our lives. While it is a natural human emotion, we should NEVER GIVE OURSELVES OVER to it. (Eph. 4:26-27 "In your ANGER, DO NOT SIN. DO NOT LET the sun GO DOWN while you are still angry and DO NOT GIVE the DEVIL a FOOTHOLD.")

 

A SNARE that BECOMES A FOOTHOLD for the enemy of our souls:

Anger is a SNARE for us, prepared for us by the enemy of our souls, for he knows us all too well. (Prov. 22:23-24 "Do NOT ASSOCIATE with a MAN GIVEN to ANGER; Or go with a HOT-TEMPERED MAN, Or you will LEARN his ways and FIND A SNARE for yourself.")

 

RE-ALIGNMENT:

Find the triggers of your anger, acknowledge it - realize that it is not from Abba our Father, and RE-ALIGN your LIFE in all AREAS it NEEDS to be RE-ALIGNED. Start with your HEART and your RELATIONSHIPS with others ... and FREE YOURSELF from the TRAPS of the DEVIL.

 

COMPARING - JEALOUSY - AMBITION:

Just like anger, comparing and jealousy are FLESHLY attitudes from the very NATURE of being HUMAN. The Bible WARNS us against this ATTITUDE in James 3:14-16 "But if you have bitter JEALOUSY and SELFISH AMBITION in your HEART, DO NOT be  ARROGANT and so LIE AGAINST the TRUTH. This superficial WISDOM is NOT WHICH COMES DOWN FROM ABOVE, but is EARTHLY, NATURAL, DEMONIC. For where JEALOUSY AND SELFISH AMBITION EXIST, there will also be CONFUSION, UNREST, DISHARMONY, REBELLION and ALL SORTS of EVIL and VILE PRACTICES."

 

Comparing ourselves with others, brings jealousy and jealousy brings SELFISH AMBITION. Selfish ambition is NOT the same as working diligently or doing your best in a a godly manner. Selfish ambition is to be WRAPPED around a SELFISH GOAL. It shifts our DEPENDANCE OFF our Father and ONTO OURSELVES.

 

UNFORGIVENESS and BITTERNESS:

Forgiveness does not necessarily mean a change in the other person, but it change the heart of the forgiver. It change your heart and is something taking place between YOUR AND YAHWEH God.

 

Although we could wish for reconciliation, it is the deed, the action of forgiveness given that is the most important. It rectify  our hearts and make things right between us and Abba.

 

"Forgive each other just as Messiah Yahshua has forgiven us" (Col. 3:13).

 

STRESS AND ANXIETY:

1 Peter 5:7-9 tells us the "CASTING ALL YOUR ANXIETY on HIM, because HE CARES for you. Be of SOBER SPIRIT, be ON the ALERT. Your ADVERSARY, the DEVIL, PROWLS AROUND LIKE A ROARING LION, SEEKING SOMEONE to DEVOUR. But RESIST him, FIRM IN YOUR FAITH, KNOWING that the SAME EXPERIENCES of SUFFERING are being ACCOMPLISHED by your BRETHREN who are in the world."

 

It has been medically proven that STRESS and ANXIETY are the LEADING CAUSES of ALL HEALTH ISSUES. Many of us go through life always STRESSING about something.

 

In the ABOVE VERSES in 1 Peter, it is clear that STRESS and ANXIETY comes from the devil and is being USED by the devil to TORTURE us, bring HEALTH ISSUES into our LIVES ... TORMENT us with it ... PROWLING AROUND like a ROARING LION in his QUEST to DEVOUR us.

 

Anxiety is like CARRYING A GIGANTIC TARGET on our BACKS. It WEAKENS us and it is the WEAK that would be TARGETED FIRST - and PICKED OFF.

Our heavenly Father never meant for us to carry STRESS and ANXIETY. In a WAY it is A LACK of FAITH.

 

PRIDE:

There are things that our heavenly Father hates. PRIDE is ONE of THEM for Satan FEEDS on PRIDE. PRIDE LED to Satan's DOWNFALL.

 

PRIDE is an OPEN DOOR for the ENEMY to FEED on, while HUMBLENESS will PROTECT us.

"Yah is OPPOSED to the PROUD, but gives GRACE to the HUMBLE. SUBMIT THEREFORE to YAH. RESIST the DEVIL and he will FLEE from you. DRAW NEAR to YAH and He will DRAW NEAR to you." (James 4:6-8).

 

O Abba, help us to see PRIDE - ARROGANCE and HAUGHTINESS the SAME WAY You do. Help us to see pride in ourselves and repent of it. Help us to LIVE in HUMILITY - to be CLOAKED with HUMILITY and to RESIST the DEVIL by CLINGING to HUMILITY. TEACH us Father to be HUMBLE ... Give us they eyes ABBA  to see the ways I am carrying my stress and anxieties. Lead us Father into the trust and peace you have for us. TEACH us HOW TO CAST our ANXIETY ON YOU. Protect us from the ONSLAUGHT of the ENEMY trying to WEAKEN us - WEARY us DOWN and then ATTACK FULL FORCE. In Yahshua Messiah's NAME. Amen.
